Legislators, Private Sector Members & their families gathered in Whistler, British Columbia, July 25-28, for a joint annual meeting of PNWER & CSG-West.The meeting, convening 75 miles north of the Washington-British Columbia border, explored the common cultural, political and economic issues that define the Pacific Northwest Region of North America - while exploring global issues as well.

PNWER Working Groups (left) were highlighted by many dynamic speakers and presentations that progressed toward several resolutions which were passed at the final executive meeting. Jeff Morris moved up to the postion of PNWER President, while Max Black retired to 'immediate past President' status.

PNWER officer positions were filled as follows:

• Rep Jeff Morris (WA) - PNWER President
• Barry Penner, MLA (B.C.) - PNWER Vice President
• Rep Fred Dyson (AK)- PNWER 2nd Vice President
• Rep Craig Smith(OR) - PNWER 2nd Vice President
